Haiku of a New York Minute is the first book by NYC-born visual artist Adrian Bermeo, made up of 93 original haiku–Including selected drawings and paintings made from 2015 to 2025. Blending personal memories and Cultural References into a raw, honest collection of short poems and artworks. Through sardonic frustration and humor, Bermeo’s work explores cultural appreciation versus appropriation. Both sarcastic and sincere, Haiku of a New York Minute paints an unfiltered portrait of NYC’s chaos, charm, and contradictions—a snapshot of everyday moments, historical significance, and obscure observations within it all.
